What does the name Lumitoro mean?
Lumitoro [ˈlumi toh’-ro]
Lumi [ˈlumi], from the Finnish word for ‘snow’
Toro [toh’-ro], from the Spanish word for 'bull'.
Designer Roberto Chaves sought a name for the brand that would express both his Finnish and Spanish heritage. The juxtaposition between the delicate snow of Finland and the strong bull of Spain are not only reminiscent of the brand and its creator, but honor both his Finnish mother and his Spanish father.
What is 3D printing?
The actual definition:
‘3D printing or Additive manufacturing[1] is a process of making a three-dimensional solid object of virtually any shape from a digital model. 3D printing is achieved using an additive process, where successive layers of material are laid down in different shapes.[2] 3D printing is also considered distinct from traditional machining techniques, which mostly rely on the removal of material by methods such as cutting or drilling (subtractive processes).’ source: Wikipedia

Is the jewelry hypoallergenic?
Lumitoro makes every attempt to ensure the materials used in its jewelry are hypo-allergenic, including the earring backings. All jewelry is nickel-free.
Please note: “Bronze jewelry often contains copper, which will turn your skin green whether you have an allergy or not. Bronze and copper turn your skin green because when the copper reacts with your sweat and the acids from your skin, it produces copper chloride. Copper chloride is a green substance that then rubs off on your skin. If you are prone to sweating, your bronze jewelry will definitely turn your skin green. This chemical reaction can also be prevented by painting any part of the jewelry that comes in contact with your skin with clear nail polish.”
